Well, I broke down and had a picture taken at the mall. Santa doesn't look terribly happy about being in Ogden. Gerard is laughing at a crazy elf!

We received a very special package in the mail from Gramps yesterday. Thank you Gramps, and Merry Christmas to you and Gran, too!!

Sunday - Snow and Sick

Today Gerard's not feeling well. It started with vomiting last night. Moved on to diarrhea this morning, and fever this afternoon. Runny nose and sneezing all day... I'm hoping he kicks it before his synegis shot on Tuesday.
Today was a rough day. Had to stay indoors with all the snow and the roads weren't cleared in time to go out shopping. We both have cabin fever.
Michael's out of town until next Sunday doing AF duty. Lots to do before Christmas and I'm not sure it will all get done in time this year.

Birthday Bash

We decided that since Gerard arrived in this world early, we'd have an early birthday celebration so as not to confuse his birthday and Christmas. And since we didn't name him Jesus (pronounced in Spanish - heyseuss), December 6 seemed like as good a day as any. Yes, it was big...yes, there was a lot of gumbo, and yes...it was a little hairy with everyone showing up for the open house at virtually the same time and wanting to be in the kitchen. But we all had a blast! Especially Gerard. Gerard didn't eat gumbo, nor cake, but he will soon enough. Have I mentioned that we have the best friends ever? Even if they are all party animals, as one quoted.

Traveling South for Thanksgiving

Going to visit relatives in Alabama and Louisiana for Thanksgiving. Gerard flew like a pro!

Halloween photos

Gerard had a Happy Haloween and dressed as "Super Cute" Baby! We went to the NICU and visited some of his nurses and Dr. Bob. They were happy to see him and he was acting right at home! The weather was perfect and Ruby came to visit us. Heather, Casey and Jack stopped by as tradition, and a good time was had. The drippy nose is slowing down and we had a good weekend.

Coughing boys

For the past week, the boys have been coughing all night. Sleep deprivation returns...
We'll be getting flu shots next week. We're still waiting to see if Gerard will qualify for synegis again this year, which we hope will happen. RSV season is right around the corner, and some nasty colds have been going around. He tested positive for rhinovirus (sp) two Sundays ago. The congestion is lingering. Despite these things, he's happy as a clam until it's time for bed. We're fortunate he's normally a good sleeper.
