Funny little man

Today is a nothing special kind of day. I have some pics of the funny little G at play, so enjoy!
Today Michael will hook up the ceiling fan in Gerard's room so we can finally finish that room. I'm looking forward to that!
Here he is in all his glory...
And a couple of pics of Michael C. before he left town. (sniffle)

July 24

Michael's back home today.
It's Pioneer Day (which means a day off in Utah for you Gentiles) today.
It's Gerard's 7th month with us and we are delighted!
It's my friend Stephanie's birthday - happy b'day Steph!
It's the last night my friend Michael will be spending in Utah for a while as he's moving to Portland. Good luck to you Michael! I will certainly miss having you close by...as will Sophie. Smooches and travel safely.
Today was one of those really hot days that makes you almost forget that it snows here...

Nap time series of photos

Today I took photos of Gerard napping with his head nuzzled in my pillow. Too cute. One minute he was watching me folding laundry and the next minute, zzz...
Then there's video of him playing with his binkie. He loves to fuss at the binkie now.
Heading to Instacare again tonight to make sure he doesn't have another ear infection. He keeps pulling at his right ear and I just want to make sure he's OK. His coloring is still not back to normal since his virus series.

Cute little feet video - trying again

Sick Baby...more

Up all night with a sick (vomiting and diarreah) baby. Just when he started to feel better, this wicked virus took a turn (or it's another one on top of the respiratory infection). He's still stuffy, but the "output" is much greater than the "input" if you get my drift. And the drift...hmmm....it's unlike anything I've ever experienced for something so small.
Yes, of course, we went to the doctor - who said he was not dehydrated (thanks to pedialyte and my diligence in giving him 1/2 t. every 10 minutes for 3 hours). And yes, Gerard performed perfectly for this doctor (again), who just saw him 2 weeks ago when his hands and feet went blue.
Today he was grey. Yes, grey. I thought I might have to perform CPR...and I was prepared to do so! He was floppy like a rag doll and his eyes kept glazing over. I really thought he'd end up in the hospital. But I kept at it and fed him like a baby bird. He started getting color again around 12:30. At least our nanny agreed that he looked "very bad" this morning and she went with me to the doctor.
P.S. Michael left at 6:00 a.m. for AF duty. Isn't that just my luck? Let's hope tomorrow's better. Today's been pretty rough, we made it through. I counted... 13 diaper changes between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. I'm not even counting the times he went right after I changed him on the table. Poor fella!

Keys and toes

Gerard loves these keys and recently discovered his feet. We often see toes before hands now waving up from the playcrib. See video when I can get it to load. Pretty cute.
He's feeling better, but still coughs and sniffles. Michael's better, too. I finally got some sleep last night since Angela went home. Sure do miss her.
I think we might take a drive this afternoon so I can get out of the house.

Photo Shoot

The wonderful Karyn Johnston took pictures of Gerard last Saturday. Poor fella had a very stuffy nose and was drooling a whole bunch. We took him to the doctor right after the photos were taken and sure enough, he had an upper respiratory infection and she ordered him a suction machine (for me to suction his nose).
Here's the link to the photos: http://kjohnstonphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/5357506_3YnMb#P-1-15

Sick Boys

The little boy (Gerard) and the big boy (Michael) have been sick with a viral infection (ears, nose, throat, cough, etc). So...I haven't been sleeping much. The doctor says it lasts about 10 days, so we should be over the worst. Poor guys are coughing pretty badly and have nasty noses. I sure hope I'm spared this one since I had my sickies during the winter. Gerard's been a trooper. He even smiled yesterday, which is a sign he's starting to feel better.

Nanny Angela's Visit - Ogden Arts Festival and the Prairie Schooner

Angela left today and we're all sad...but we had a wonderful visit! Here's some evidence. We even took her to the Prairie Schooner for a dinner in a covered wagon. Here we are being tacky tourists!

Nanny Angela visiting us!

My sister Angela's been in town since Friday night and we've had a busy, busy time. It's been so nice having her here. Sunday we took a drive to Park City where we got to visit with Uncle Doug. Here's the pics! Oh...and a neat new onesie by an artist called "Beanchild" that we picked up last weekend at Snowbird.
